September GQ meeting is cancelled

Hi everyone, our regularly scheduled meeting for the month of September has been cancelled. We will see you all at our meeting next month, in October. Good luck to everyone heading back to school, happy harvesting to all of the agricultural folks, and carry on with gusto to those with non-seasonal life work.

GQSD is 3 years old! New time and location for August

Hey y’all,
Come celebrate 3 years of Genderqueer San Diego!! We’re holding a different kind of meetup… at Broke Girls Coffee Bar back patio (3562 Adams Ave. in Normal Heights) at 1-2:30pm this Sunday, Aug 3rd. Bring a game, a question, an ally, or just your fun self.

I’ll bring a few decks of cards and maybe a board game or two. Broke Girls Coffee Bar is trans and GQ welcoming, and people have been asking for a more casual meetup space that feels social, so we’re giving it a try. It won’t be a closed-door environment where confidentiality can be preserved, so we encourage you to be informed about this as you plan to attend.

Allies who identify with a binary gender are also welcome to join us every month.

See you tomorrow!
Liat @ GQSD

July Meetup – time change this month!

Please join us at our meeting this Sunday, July 6th for conversation and to share some yummy treats.

**Please note** This month we are gathering an hour earlier – at 1pm – to accommodate and encourage anyone who wants to attend the planning meeting for the 1st Annual Trans* Pride and March in SD (that meeting starts at 3pm at Broke Girls Coffee Bar.)

As always, you are welcome to bring in any questions or topics that you want to discuss. Allies and anyone who wants to be part of the conversation are always welcome.

GQ Discussion Group this Sunday

Hi Everyone,

Join us for the Genderqueer Discussion Group tomorrow, June 1st. 2-3:30 pm @ the San Diego Pride office 3620 30th St. North Park

For folks who travel by public transit, please be aware that San Diego’s Rock ‘n’ Roll marathon is also the same day as our meeting, so it’s possible your route may be impacted. MTS has information available here: http://www.sdmts.com/trolley/rocknrollmarathon.asp

We also have a volunteer opportunity available. San Diego Pride’s Diversity Task Force is looking for people to staff their booth during the upcoming SD Pride. In exchange for working a 3-hour shift you would receive free entrance to Pride the whole weekend, which is normally about $20. If you are interested please contact Liat, or reply to this email. They would need your name as soon as possible, so don’t wait too long to let them know.

Allies, friends, and family are always welcome!

Cheers,

Haven @ GQSD
